Mariya & Hristo: From 1 to 31 August in the Art Lounge, Radio Varna a joint exhibition is anticipated “Magic Mosaics”. The opening is Saturday, August 1, 18:30.
Visit five artists with their decorative works of art made from shells, sand, stone and other natural elements.

Maria Maneva – Miriam

41yrs. Born in the town of Gabrovo but now lives in Varna. An economist by profession, in 2008 her first experience with this art form was born – paintings made from sea pebbles. She began to experiment. Finally in 2011 she decided to turn her hobby into a profession. Since 2012 she has participated in exhibitions in the Gallery “Active Art” – Varna, hotel “Marina Grand Beach” resort “Golden Sands”, Art Salon Radio Varna workshop and “Play dough” – Sofia. She was invited in 2013 to SOS Children’s Villages Tryavna for an Art therapy workshop for children. Since 2013 she holds a master certificate from the Chamber of Craftsmen association for “Art stone processing.” Maria has participated in the First National Biennial “Mosaic today” exhibition held in Stara Zagora. where together with 11 artists she made a glass mosaic mural which was donated to a home for disadvantaged children. Presented here are a variety of her entirely new pieces – using mixed media, made with great difficulty and infinite patience.

Eng. Maria Nikolova

Maria Nikolova was born in Varna and lives with a great love for the sea. Her pictures are made of natural materials collected on the shores of the sea. With endless patience and love she transforms them into landscapes, color palettes, seas and abstractions. Her works of art have been presented independently as well as jointly with other artists.

Nikolinka Georgiev

36yrs. – Born in the town of Pazardzhik. In 2003 she graduated with a pedagogical education in art from Blagoevgrad University. She specialized in graphic art through Professor Borislav Stoev. In 2009 she began to produce ceramic mosaics. In 2012 Nikolinka was admitted to the Society of Artists in Pazardzhik, where she participated in their events. In 2013 she participated in an exhibition of mosaics in Plovdiv – Blue House. In 2014 she was invited to the First National Biennial “Mosaic today” in Stara Zagora. Participation here is represented by paintings made from mosaic tiles.

Petya Mod

48yrs. Born in the town of Varna but lives and works in the town of Preslav. Concerned with mosaic quilling for the last 8 years. Started it as a hobby in 2013 and became a member of the Chamber of Crafts. She then participated in the first exhibition of mosaics in Plovdiv. In 2014 Petya participated in the First Biennial of the mosaic in Stara Zagora, where together with 11 mosaic artists in a joint project commissioned by the Municipality of Stara Zagora, donated a mural to the Center for Children with disabilities. That same year 2014 she worked on a project “Mosaic is not just history” in the city of Veliki Preslav, where she created a mosaic mural “Word of Vazov” – donated to the school “St. Cyril and Methodius”- city of Veliki Preslav, mosaic mural “Bulgarian embroidery”- donated to the ethnographic house Kartalova house in Veliki Preslav and a decorative mosaic table donated to the municipality of Veliki Preslav park pine forest – town of Veliki Preslav. The project “Open Space” in Sofia city supported by the Foundation “America for Bulgaria” and the “citizens’ initiative” in Sofia. She has recently become ignited by Kiri-e art -the art of the cropped picture. Sales commissioned in Italy, Poland and the UK.

Strahil Georgiev Naydenov

42yrs. Born in the town of Pleven. By 2013 he creates watercolors and graphics. He has had several solo exhibitions in his hometown and in the International Salon in Lyon, France. From the same year he has been working primarily in artistic mosaic. Using different materials – ceramic, stone, wood, clay and others. In this exhibition pieces include abstract mosaics inspired by the perfection of nature.
